  1. Do I need to be a physician to own a The Practice franchise?

    It is preferred you have medical experience however it is not required. Our program is setup so that a non-medical professional can buy into a franchise; however it is required for a non-medical professional to partner with a licensed physician(s) or a Professional Corporation (PC) who manages licensed physicians who will provide medical care. Regardless of whether you are a licensed physician or not, we expect our franchisees to form a professional corporation whose function is to managed a group of licensed physicians that will be providing medical services. If you are not a licensed physician, due to various federal and state laws, you are prohibited from providing medical care services. See our Franchise Disclosure Document for more details.

  2. How easy will it be for me to convert my existing medical practice into a The Practice?

    If you have an existing medical care business, we make converting it into a The Practice clinic super easy and refer to this as a “Conversion Model”. In most cases we expect that you are able to utilize your existing technology, equipment, furnishings and fixtures so long as such items meet our specifications. The total investment to convert your existing medical care business into a The Practice clinic is estimated to be $99,900 to $146,000 and this is inclusive.   3. What will it cost me to start-up my own The Practice clinic?

    To start your own The Practice clinic this is what we refer to as a “Standard Model”. Total costs to open a Standard Model is estimated to be $179,300 to $415,850 and includes everything from equipment, furnishings, fixtures, staffing, working capital and more.   4. Do I get a protected territory?

    Absolutely! As a The Practice franchisee you receive a generous protected territory. That means we will not operate or allow anyone else to operate a The Practice clinic in your area. Unlike other franchise systems you will not be charged for air which means we do not nickel-and-dime you for how big of a territory you are awarded. Call us to learn specifics.

  5. How long is your training program?

    Be prepared to learn and we make it fun! We provide you with a comprehensive ten day training program at our corporate headquarters. During our training program you will learn about our: philosophy, alternative medical treatments, nutritional counseling and our proprietary health education presentations and let’s not forget you will learn about our membership programs and how to create a network of approved specialists. This is just a snapshot of what you can expect from our franchise training program. Call us and we will be happy to elaborate.

  6. Do you offer financing?

    At this time, we do not provide financing; however we may be able to provide you with some financing resources.

  7. How big a space do I need?

    A typical The Practice clinic operates out of a 1,500 to 3,000 square foot facility but depends on how many physicians you wish to have in your business. A typical The Practice clinic has a reception area, separate physician’s office, private patient rooms, a break room and bathrooms. If you are interested in a Conversion Model we expect that you may not need to make any changes to your existing space.

  8. How long is the term?

    Unlike our competitors or most franchise systems we are NOT a big fan of requiring you to commit for a long term. Our term is seven years with the option to renew at the end of your term. What does it cost you to renew after seven years? Easy, your cost is minimal at only $10,000 per franchise.

  9. What is the franchise fee and what does it include?

    Regardless of which model you purchase (whether it be a Conversion Model or a Standard Model as described above) the franchise fee is the same. The franchise fee is $30,000 and includes our comprehensive ten day training program, a functional local website, a copy of our proprietary operations manual and onsite assistance and guidance at your location.   10. How do I get started?

    Our process is simple and you just made the first step. Let’s setup a phone conference to give you an opportunity to learn about us and give us an opportunity to learn about you. We are interested in knowing about your background and goals. After our initial conversations, if it makes sense then we will send you additional information and set a time to speak with our founder, Dr. Mensink. If all conversations go well and we both determine we are a match then we will provide you with our Franchise Disclosure Document, invite you out for a Discover Day and begin to solidify our relationship.
